About Cyclepath Kelowna
Cyclepath Kelowna has been locally-owned and operated since it opened in 1995. The store has undergone a number of transformations over the years but our emphasis on friendly customer service of the highest quality has stayed the same.
Today, we’re a full-service specialty bike store that operates year-round.
We provide Kelowna and the surrounding region with the bicycles, accessories, gear and advice needed to keep you in the amazing Okanagan outdoors across all four seasons.

We’re here to help you with anything bicycle-related, whether that’s riding tips, advice about maintenance, servicing, new gear, or that shiny new bike you’ve had your eye on.
No question is too silly and no job is too small. It’s our job to make sure you’re back up on your bike as soon as possible. We’ll help you any way we can, using language you’ll understand.
While we give specialist advice, Cyclepath Kelowna is a bike store for Kelowna. We're just as eager to help biking beginners find their feet as we are to get expert cyclists out on a faster, lighter bike.

Kelowna Group Rides
Outside of the pandemic, we organize and run regular group rides throughout summer.
We’ve also made information available about some of the most popular rides in our amazing region available for all to find!
About The Owners
Garry Norkum
Garry Norkum has become a familiar face at local bike events and a familiar voice on the radio over the past 25 years. He’s passionate about everything the Okanagan has to offer and loves providing practical advice about biking to anyone who’ll listen.
He runs the Cyclepath store on the basis that the customer comes first and attributes the store’s glowing Google Reviews and unparalleled reputation for excellence to his customer-centric approach.
Joan Norkum
Joan Norkum has taken on more of a behind-the-scenes approach to management, but is always there quietly helping get everything done. Her absence from the limelight hasn't made her any less of a star in store.
Between keeping the paperwork in order and the store supplies stocked, she somehow manages to keep the back of house in check so that things never fall to pieces when the store gets overrun.
Our History
Sat. Feb. 18,1995: Cyclepath Kelowna, locally owned and operated, opens their doors as part of a Canada-wide bicycle franchise
May 1995: Womens-only & co-ed Cyclepath organized mountain bike rides started
Winter 95/96: Cyclepath carries fitness equipment over the winter
Winter 96/97: Cyclepath Bikes & Boards now selling snowboards over the winter
Fall 1998: Cyclepath franchise organization closes, Cylepath Kelowna now a fully independent store
Nov. 14, 1998: Cyclepath “spins off” the snowboard business and opens Deviate Board Shop
Aug, 2002: Cyclepath sells ownership in Deviate Board shop
Feb. 15, 2006: Cyclepath expands – now double the size at 6000 sq. feet
Oct. 2007: Warehouse purchased for bike storage and assembly – adding another 1500 sq. feet.
Summer 2008: Women’s-only and co-ed Cyclepath organized road bike rides started
April 2010: Attached 350 sq. feet of additional storage to shop
Winter 2011/12: Cyclepath – Cycle & Snow now selling downhill skis over the winter
June 2019: We won gold for the Best of Kelowna Now Best Bicycle Shop category.
June 2020: We won gold for the Best of Kelowna Now Best Bicycle Shop category.
Winter 2019/20: Cyclepath's last season for winter gear - rebranded as Cyclepath Kelowna.
June 2021: We won gold for the Best of Kelowna Now Best Bicycle Shop category.
Spring 2022: Our newly expanded storefront opened! Our previous store was 6000 square feet, which was used to house a showroom for our bicycle stock, as well as our retail stock and a small service area. We added 5200 square feet to our store, which allowed us to build a huge new service area for our expanding service team. We purchased an electric park tool bike stand, new Muk-off eco parts wash, and introduced improved stations for each of our mechanics. There's also more storage space, desk space for our growing team, and more space on our shop floor to show off our range of products.
June 2022: We won gold for the Best of Kelowna Now Best Bicycle Shop category.
