Cyclepath Kelowna is actively looking for a full-time Experienced Bicycle Mechanic who is looking to take the next step in their career to join our team. Part-time or flexible hours would be considered for the right applicant with significant experience. 

Note: This position will be predominantly service writing and requires customer service skills. 

A bit about us:

We're a locally-owned and operated full-service year-round bike store in Kelowna BC. We have recently expanded our store to include a comprehensive bike servicing and bike assembly area. The new designated bike service area is equipped with:

  • Fork and Shock Service Station - with tools for Fox and Rockshox rear shocks, vacuum bleeder, etc.
  • Wheel Building Station - with spoke cutting & threading machine.
  • Park Tool Dual Electric E-Bike stand in service write up area.
  • Fully electronic work order system and designated computers for mechanics.
  • Individual, fully-stocked bike work stations for mechanics.
  • Large stainless steel bike wash bay with econoclean.
  • Mucoff Bio Parts Washer.

We're looking for an experienced mechanic. We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • have a minimum of 1 years experience as a bike mechanic in a bike shop (more details below),
  • are a passionate bicycle mechanic looking to further your career,
  • believe in providing exceptional customer service with your quality work and positive attitude, and
  • want to work in a supportive and fun team environment.

We're hoping to find a mechanic with:

  • Strong repair experience with a variety of bikes - road bikes, hybrid, mountain, full suspension and BMX bikes.
  • Strong experience diagnosing and repairing e-bikes.
  • Knowledge of the latest bike equipment and technologies.
  • Experience in wheel building, shock overhauls and brake bleeding.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Our ideal mechanic will also have:

  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written.

We are looking for someone who is available to work full time (5 days each week) from Monday - Saturday. Sundays off, plus one other day TBD.

  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience using a point of sale system.

Work hours:

5 days per week between Monday and Saturday. Sundays and one other day off per week, TBD.
